About the Artist
The works of Chinese artist Ren Jian Hui is unmistakably romantic. His playful and sensuous nudes are more than often mysteriously hidden behind a veil of muted greenery such that they always seem elusive. It is the delicate balance between the tangible and the intangible, the dreamy fantasy and the reality that makes his works most admirable.
Besides, in some of his earlier works, there is a strong ethnic quality to it - somewhat tribal in fact, and the women’s porcelain faces are always luminously well rendered. His highly enigmatic nudes aside, Ren Jian Hui has also explored into the realm of the Surrealist. His surrealist works are always cleanly linear and painted with an accuracy like those of a draughtsman.
